Standout performances
In Pool A, Myerscough came within a whisker of handing BCU a first loss of the season but their late comeback attempt fell just short in the 80-78 defeat. Jack Walton inspired Manchester Magic to an important 82-78 victory over Leicester, allowing the North West side to keep pace with leaders Birmingham.
Louis Rogerson-Evans dropped an impressive 29 points to help Liverpool to an 80-69 victory over Sheffield Sharks II, and Sheffield Arrows' Hamza Ibrahim went off against Teesside Lions to the tune of 34 points, 17 rebounds and eight assists in a 90-76 road win for the Sheffield side.
Barking claimed revenge for last season's D2 Playoff Final as they beat Solent Kestrels 90-71. Joshua Mendes provided a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double as the Londoners took control in the second quarter and never looked back.
Ryan Martin helped London Stars to snag a low-scoring 62-51 victory over cross-town rivals London Lions II, and a 23-9 opening frame helped Myerscough bounce back and keep Oxford Hoops winless in Sunday's only Pool A game, with an 80-63 final score.
What does it mean for the standings?
Pool B leaders Barking Abbey (3-0) have continued their good form, coming through their crunch clash with Solent to remain on course ahead of London Stars and Barnet Bulldogs, who both remain unbeaten at 2-0.
BCU stand alone at the top of Pool A at 3-0, with Manchester Magic (2-0) chasing hard alongside four sides at 2-1.
Player-of-the-week candidates
There were some outstanding numbers across the board this weekend, starting in the North East where Hamza Ibrahim (34pts, 17reb, 8ast, 2stl, 45eff) was on fire for Sheffield Arrows.
Worcester's Earl Burgess (16pts, 11reb, 3ast, 29eff), Liverpool's Louis Rogerson-Evans (29pts, 5reb, 2ast, 3stl, 31eff) and London Stars' Ryan Martin (20pts, 18reb, 6ast, 2stl, 30eff) are also in the mix for weekly honours.
Watch out for the winner on our social channels, with the announcement going live at 5pm on Monday evening.
