Standout performances
In Pool A, Birmingham City University came through their tussle with local rivals Worcester as Sam Toluwase (feature image) showed his quality in the 76-73 come-from-behind win.
Manchester Magic remain unbeaten as they saw off Sheffield Sharks 77-58, and Liverpool picked up their third win of the campaign in an 84-82 nail-biter with Sheffield Arrows.
In Pool B, London Stars tasted defeat for the first time this season as they went down 80-73 away to Richmond Knights.
Solent Kestrels are back to winning ways though, they beat London Elite 103-63 with a commanding performance on Saturday evening.
What does it mean for the standings?
BCU (4-0) and Manchester Magic (3-0) continue to lead the way in Pool A, with the North West presence of Liverpool (3-1) and St Helens (2-1) close behind.
Cardiff Met Archers’ win over Teesside leaves the Lions winless at 0-4, joining Oxford Hoops as the only other side yet to get off the mark.
With limited action in Pool B there’s little movement as Barking remain top at 3-0 with Solent (2-1), London Stars (2-1) and Barnet (2-0) close behind.
Player-of-the-week candidates
BCU's Sam Toluwase was in prime form, and he needed to be as Birmingham barely kept their unbeaten record alive.
The former City of Birmingham man closed with a 33-point, 17-rebound double/double for one of the stat lines of the weekend, cancelling out Worcester's Earl Burgess' 16/16 double-double in the process.
Three different Archers helped push Cardiff to a win, all bagging 15 points and led by Shane Scruggs, who tacked on seven rebounds and three assists to his scoring.
Charles Andrews (16pts, 17reb, 27eff) couldn't do quite enough to help Sheffield Sharks II past Manchester, with Aaron Bile (19pts, 7reb, 4ast, 21eff) the pick of the bunch for the Magic.
Reigning Player of the Week Hamza Ibrahim (25pts, 10reb) and team mate Alexander Tavares (23pts, 10reb) both picked up double-doubles for the Arrows to throw themselves into the mix for honours as well.
Watch out for the winner on our social channels, with the announcement going live at 5pm on Monday evening.
NBL National Cup
The NBL National Cup's field was halved once again as the competition moves swiftly towards January's Final.
2015/16 winners Manchester Magic kept their hopes alive as they beat Liverpool 95-69, with 2021/22 champs Solent doing the same as they eased past Exeter Spartans.
D1 sides London Lions II (85-65 vs London Sharks), London Stars (95-72 vs LDN Phoenix), Barking Abbey (66-63 vs Anglia Ruskin) and Sheffield Sharks II (90-61 vs Nottingham Athletic) are all through to the next round after coming through unscathed.
The same can't be said for CoLA Southwark Pride and Oxford Hoops after both top tier sides came unstuck against lower league opponents, with CoLA dipping out 87-77 against Brent Bulls, and the Hoops losing out 79-71 at home to Northamptonshire Titans.
BCU battled through their all-D1M tie by beating Leicester 64-59, whilst Yorkshire Dragons continue to fly the flag for D3 as they knocked off Tees Valley Mohawks in a 72-71 thriller.
