W/EABL Players of the Week (15 Oct 2025)
Another instalment of Academy action means another batch of weekly awards, with Player of the Week and Team of the Week accolades up for grabs.
You can have your say on this week’s selections and give a shout-out to the players you think deserve one on the Academy League channels.
How it works
Each week, a standout player plus four other worthy selections will be put forward to make the Player and Team Of The Week in both the EABL and WEABL, paying attention to the following criteria:
- Efficiency
- Stats
- Team and opposition strength
- Periods of influence in the game
- Being on a winning team (exceptional performances from players on losing teams will be considered for TOTW)
Players of the Week

Both Player of the Week winners helped their teams to big victories against top opponents.
Manchester's Jack Walton follows team-mate Demi Babalola, last week's winner, after leading the Magic to a huge road win against North West rivals Myerscough 71-60.
With three of his five triples, plus an assist, coming in Manchester's pivotal 27-15 third quarter, Walton did more than enough to be this week's standout.
He said: "It was a great performance for our team - a true physical battle, being undersized, showing maturity to overcome the different runs that we were challenged with. We'll look to continue on this for the rest of the season."
Head coach Tom Paraskeva added: "We are all very proud of Jack and his development over the last few years. His ability to make the right play for the team helped our group get over the line on Wednesday."
Knocking off the defending WEABL champs is always going to earn some recognition, and Itchen's Anna Mendez certainly did her part in the 79-69 victory over Copleston.
Hitting 5/7 from beyond the arc, Mendez finished with a team-high 21 points to go with 13 rebounds and five assists, driving her side forward for a statement win.
Mendez said: "The game was a great representation of what we can do as a team and a general positive team performance that I hope we can continue to build on that throughout this season."
Itchen head coach Vicky Milner added: “It was a solid performance from our girls. It was great to see the team come together and compete throughout.
"Anna had a great game, competing on the boards and she shot the ball well throughout. We are looking forward to the rest of the season.”

WEABL Team of the Week
With no official Team of the Week due to only two WEABL games taking place, there's still an opportunity to share some recognition on a few worthy performers.
Copleston forward Holly Ensoll (25pts, 16reb, 2ast, 4stl) had a strong stat line in defeat, and Sophia Agboola was efficient in support of POTW Mendez, finishing with a 12/10 double-double on 50% shooting.
CoLA trio Adaora Dioramma (22pts, 10reb, 24eff), Ayla Habbal (13pts, 9reb, 7ast) and Eva-Grace Yebila (8pts, 7reb, 2blk, 16eff) were also on song, combining to help the hosts easily down Barking Abbey.
