All eyes on the Capital
It's top plays third this weekend as CoLA head to London All Stars for a big early season contest.
Pride have put together a three game winning streak after their Opening Day hiccup against Worcester, seeing themselves rise to the top of the standings in the process.
The All Stars have more than held their own in the early stages of their debut season in the top flight, with victories against ARU and Bromsgrove, plus a narrow three-point defeat against Bristol.
Regular D1W fans will be used to CoLA's defensive might, frequently leading the league for fewest points conceded.
The tables are turned in this one, though, with the All Stars currently conceding a D1W-best 48.3PPG. CoLA aren't lagging far behind in fourth (60.3PPG), so perhaps fans shouldn't expect an offensive outburst from either side in this one.
3 for 3 for Welham?
It's been two games, two Player of the Week awards for Ipswich's Harriet Welham so far. Will the former D1W Player of the Year winner make it three in a row this weekend?
London Cavaliers will certainly hope not, but the Suffolk side currently boast the best offence in D1W, dropping 80.5PPG. Welham averaged 33.5PPG, forming a clear bulk of her side's production.
Hailey Counsell (11.5PPG) and Kaiya Bateman (10.0PPG) round out Ipswich's top three scorers so far, and with the gap between Welham and her team mates, the Cavs will be hoping to slow down Ipswich's star if they're to pick up a positive result this weekend.
