Standout performances
Anglia Ruskin's familiar struggles against the division's leading lights continued as they slid to an 81-61 defeat against table-topping CoLA.
Ayla Habbal and Adaora Dioramma (feature image) both shone, knocking ARU back to 3-3 in the process.
There was a dramatic 2OT clash between Ipswich and Brent, with the Bulls coming through as 95-83 winners against the injury-hit hosts.
A back-and-forth contest where neither team led by double digits until the final minutes; both the fourth quarter and OT1 featured baskets in the closing seconds to keep the excitement building until the visitors eventually pulled away.
Loughborough's struggles continue as they lost out 69-47 against a surging London Cavaliers, whilst Bromsgrove slipped to their fifth loss of the campaign, going down 78-68 against Bristol.
That just leaves Manchester's win over Worcester, with the Mystics leading from tip to buzzer to seal a 68-63 victory, though they did have to hold off a later charge from the Wolves that made it a one-point game with 32 seconds to go.
What does it mean for the standings?
CoLA remain the top dogs after they picked up another win. Manchester, London Cavaliers, Brent and Worcester all have just one loss (though differing numbers of games played), and could tie with the Pride once they work through their games in hand.
Anglia Ruskin (3-3) and Ipswich (2-2) remain in the chasing pack, as Loughborough and Bromsgrove continue to try and make inroads from the foot of the standings.
Player-of-the-week candidates
CoLA duo Ayla Habbal (20pts, 6reb, 8ast, 25eff) and Adaora Dioramma (12pts, 17reb, 2stl, 26eff) both had a productive weekend to put their names in the mix for weekly honours.
With two extra periods to work with, it's no surprise to see Kenisha Whyte (34pts, 7reb, 4ast, 4stl, 34eff), Vanessa Akra (10pts, 17reb, 4ast, 2stl, 22eff), Dani Cazey (12pts, 11reb, 3ast, 26eff) and Harriet Welham (27pts, 14reb, 2ast, 4stl, 19eff) all putting together some eye-catching numbers.
London's Chinwe Iwunze (20pts, 4reb, 3ast, 20eff) and Helene Trailin (14pts, 11reb, 3stl, 2blk, 20eff) both played well, as did Worcester's Ciani Montgomery (20pts, 9reb, 3ast, 6stl, 25eff) and Manchester's Lateisha Willis (12pts, 12reb, 17eff), with the latter starring off the Mystics' bench in limited action.
Bromsgrove's Rebecca Brindley (17pts, 9reb, 3ast, 4stl, 19eff) and Sammy Roscoe (20pts, 16reb, 6ast, 2stl, 2blk, 28eff) had a great battle in the West Midlands, putting themselves forward for recognition in the process.
