Elite Academy Leagues preview - Week Three (12/11/25)
After a near-month long break, Academy basketball is back with 10 games scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
Unbeaten Manchester and Derby go head-to-head in the EABL North, and South leaders City of London Academy - Southwark are on the road against HHS Reading Rockets.
In the WEABL, North leaders Charnwood travel to another unbeaten side, The Sheffield College, and CoLA can stretch their lead at the top of the South standings as they mirror the EABL fixture against the Rockets.

Final few teams get underway
With Oaklands taking to the floor in the EABL and WEABL South and Nottingham Academy Wildcats doing the same in the WEABL North, all but one of this year's programmes will have now begun their schedules.
Only last year's WEABL finalists Manchester Mystics are still waiting to get off the mark, but it won't be long before teams are making quick inroads into their 10-game schedules.
With such a small volume of regular-season games, it makes each one so important, and that'll be no different this Wednesday.
Excitement in the North
There's plenty to look forward to across a packed slate of games for this week, including a pair of North conference ties that should provide their fair share of action.
Currently unbeaten Manchester Magic and Derby Trailblazers meet in the North West for a shot at grabbing early control of the EABL North conference. With familiar rivals Charnwood and Myerscough both already dropping a game, the clash will give the winner an early advantage in the race for top spot.
Charnwood are also in action on the WEABL North, taking their 2-0 record on the road to face 1-0 The Sheffield College. Again, both will fancy their chances of striking an early blow against their rivals, and with last year's top two Nottingham and Manchester waiting in the wings, now is the time to push on.
Opportunity for CoLA
Making the most of the early stages of the season, both City of London Academy - Southwark sides top their respective South conferences at 2-0.
Both have a solid opportunity to extend their advantage over the chasing packs with games against HHS Reading Rockets, a programme they have fared well against in recent seasons.
Both HHS sides currently sit at 0-1, providing some extra motivation to throw a spanner in the works for CoLA and get off the mark in the process.
